Hi i had a phantom 2 and a samsung tablet for the app but not had it for a while now, and cannot remember if i can run the tablet on just wifi or i need a sim aswell.i have now got a phantom 4 and been looking at a huawei t3 8 inch tablet running android 7 thanks in advance for your help.

I use a samsung, with wifi only. You can use it .either way. if you go to fly in a remote area where you have no reception or wifi access you need to cache your maps on the tab before you leave for your destination.
