New update for Mimo has Ben released. They updated the 4K/60fps transfer to iPhones.

Tried it and looks like it’s transcoding 4K to 1080.

No really sure how that works or how much that affects the quality of videos.
Does it actually lessen the resolution that that much?
Is FPS affected when the file is transcoded?

I tested with 4K 24P and the original file is downloaded to iPhone 7 which was not possible before.
And 4K 60P video transcoded into 1080 60P so framerate is maintained but the bitrate is down to 16MB and quality is not good at all.

This is a tradeoff between the size of the video saved in phone and the transcode time of a video.

we consider  phone sharing more so we compress more.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

So I can finally download 4K60 videos to my iPhone and iPad and use a different video editor to keep the original 4K resolution?  

No since the 4K is transcoded to 1080 so it’s not really 4K.

Hi! Why is it still a problem? My iPhone has 256Gb and 150+ of them are free. Needed video on my Osmo Action is 30gb. My iPhone can make video with the same 4k 60fps. Why is it  problem simply to transfer? And Mimo even can't convert video to 1080p because after loading during convertation app turns off screen = after unlock converting will be from beginning... I must touch screen every 30-40 seconds...

The iPhone's sleep mode reacts differently with different apps; some apps will keep it awake, while others let it sleep.

Try going to "Settings" then to "Display and Brightness".
Under "Auto-Lock", you can set it up to 5 minutes or never.

The main problem is that I can't load directly video in 4K 60fps to my iPhone. In 2021

Can't help you there; never considered 4K on my phone. Don't process on the phone.

Could it be an Apple thing? Apple is really picky on formats.

Mimo cannot edit 4k video, you need another program to edit at 4k. Mimo will import 4k but transcode it to 1080p, highest resolution that Mimo can handle.

I never use Mimo for anything besides (occasionally) controlling the Pocket. Never considered editing with Mimo. Explains a lot of problems others may have.
