With a female to female USB-C coupler can the front USB be used with the mic adapter or to charge?

Tried it and only a smartphone works.  Didn't try charging though.

That's a shame, was hoping it could be a way to have an external mic and charge at the same time.

Tried it, charging doesn't work (at least using my Anker PB).
Theoretically, it should work, since OP charging case charges OP using the said port (even though, it only activates when it turned off).

Hi, thanks for the inquiry. We're sorry that the front USB connection in the Osmo Pocket is used to connect the mobile device and it's not recommended to charge or possibly use the external microphone. Thank you for understanding.

Is there any chance DJI will release a mic adapter with USB pass through for charging?
Similar to the GoPro adapter.
