Has anybody here flown the AIR indoors, My client wants footage inside his theater and I have not tried to fly indoors for there would be no satellite connection if you were successful was it stable in flight? Any info would be helpful

Hi. I check stability after firmware updates and VPS configuration often inside before taking it into the blue yonder. You'll hear stories of drones occasionally getting a hint of GPS connection and suddenly moving, but that's just something to watch for. You can also disable VPS and other positioning settings which are likely to cause surprise moves. That said, I've never had an issue other that it refusing to move in a direction due to obstacle sensing.

Just keep it close, within clear eyesight, and be ready for any sudden leaps in the wrong direction. Oh, and when in doubt, use the prop protectors.

Hello and good day scamp62. Thank you for reaching out and thank you for the inquiry. We're sorry but we don't recommend flying the drones indoors as the environment indoors may have interference and caused an incident and also during low light condition as the vision sensors may not work properly. We suggest to choose an outdoor open area where the GPS is good, no magnetic interference, to fly the drone and check if all the functions are normal. Please take good care of your drone and enjoy the flying. Thank you for your support.

Absolutely use the prop protectors and keep the sensors on.

Done it several times with no issues. A few suggestions (sorry, see post below...).

Done it several times with no issues at all; snagged some awesome footage & stills. A few suggestions:

1) DEFINITELY fly with prop guards:; don’t for one second consider not doing so! Otherwise a slight drift into a wall will leave drywall scars for sure.
2) Turn off your AC / furnace so you don’t unexpectedly fly into moving air currents that can push you around.
3) Turn off your house router(s) - anything that can broadcast WiFi, just to be extra-safe!
4) Turn on all indoor lights in all rooms so the drone’s VPS can clearly detect distinctive ground / floor patterns with proper contrast for lateral positioning stability.
5) Avoid rooms with monochromatic flooring, carpet, tiny tile patterns, etc.
6) Take off manually in as open an area as possible and be prepared for some initial lateral drift. Correct this by eye, then:
7) ASAP put the drone in tripod mode - that’s the secret for safer indoor flying! Slows everything down nicely.
8) Turn off obstacle avoidance! Otherwise you’ll never be able to even fly thru a doorway. The OA sensors will stop you, constantly. So just nuke ‘em and be extra mindful.
9) Don’t try flying around the house FPV from a fixed position in any given room, at least initially (as tempting and fun as that can be). Instead, slowly walk along behind the drone as you fly forward and navigate turns, making corrections by visual LOS. It’s a LOT harder than you’d think trying to do this strictly using the FPV camera feed. Get some experience first.

Hey, a nice summary - I hadn't considered the AC/Ducting gotcha. Well done.
