Hi everyone, I am on vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC right now, brought my drone along hoping to get some good footage. I know I can't fly in Myrtle Beach directly because of the airport, but maybe 20 miles south of Myrtle Beach there has been places to fly on the coast the past few times I have come here. So today I was looking at the B4UFly app and every spot along the coast that I used to be able to fly, now says "flight prohibited". Does anyone know if all flights along the coast everywhere in the USA are now prohibited?

No, that's not correct.  IMO, the B4UFly app sucks.  Most experienced pilots use something else such as airmap.

The rules are actually more lenient IMO since phone calls are no longer required or permitted and we don't have to be authorized unless the airport is surrounded by controlled airspace.  I'm going to OBX later this summer and plan on flying as much as possible.  And I will.

However, you must be sure that you adhere to all the new rules regarding a "Limited Recreational Flyer."  Otherwise your flight defaults to 107.

Here's a map you will find helpful.  You want to stay out of the circled areas and other indicated areas unless you're flying at an AMA field.  As you can see, just drive a little north or south of the airport and you can fly.

Good luck

Below is the FAA map for community based organizations, their altitude limits and their locations. The map is really good, it shows all airports and if their air sapce controlled or not. Don't forget CBO's facilities are the only place you can fly in controlled air space. Looking at the map of Myrtle Beach there is alot of controlled air space. If you are a CBO member you might check with local club and also check DJI's GO fencing, b4Ufly or Airmap.  Fly and enjoy
