How do i find the sub cathegorys now, like the smart controller.No matter what section i choose, theres no sub cat below.

Have a look at this thread, it explains. Presumably there's some logic in their new layout, not quite sure what it is though.

There isn't....  I hope the guys who "upgraded" the forum layout are not the same that make FW updates....

How much trouble would it be to just go back to the way it was?

If you need to make tutorials to make the users understand a change in the UI, then it me be a good sign that the "upgrade" wasnt very userfriendly.
How about asking the users themselves, what they prefer?
