Anyone figure out how to charge an iPad (Lightning) while flying? I have a lightning splitter but one side is apparently for audio only and won't send charge while the other side is in use connected to the controller. I've tried every combination of cable connections (including both USB slots on the controller) to the controller, iPad and external battery but can't get it working.

I may be mistaken but I believe it is because the iPad needs more amperage / voltage than the phones.
So much so that mine also does not carry either the remote control or the PC
