Flying for fun is cool but it gets really old and super boring w/o a purpose.  The worst things at times, believe it or not, is having No purpose but there is obviously a lot of things that we could do to fulfill purpose such as flying around and watching people or something.

I never have that. But maybe that is because I don't fly too often.
And my purpose is usually to make a cool video for youtube (for this forum mainly hahahahaha) or my family etc.
So I never fly without a purpose. I only fly when I feel it is worth capturing a moment.

With autocorrect, I mean the lens profile.
That removes the distortion and the vignetting.
If I open the files you sent me, they have huge distortion and vignetting.

Yeah, lightroom does it automatically lol

What does it look like with no lens profile?

Yeah same but sometimes something comes up but we aren't in the air.  The idea would probably be to be ready while in the air that if something comes up we are ready to capture it.

I crossed this bridge yesterday on my way home from NJ to CT. Marvelous piece of engineering. you can still see two sections of the old bridge that they still have to demolish.

Yeah, I thought they were building.. It was either the north route to the place I had to take photos or south but the bridge fees are obviously like $20+.  The north route was 20 more miles but the toll fees were way less.  I found it as an opportunity to take some pictures.

Yep, tolls are outrageous.
One of the old sections you see in the water had to be demolished using a controlled explosion. it was in danger of falling into the new bridge.

Can you export the DNG files as jpeg without any other corrections (so just what Lightroom makes of it to correct the distortion and the vignetting) and send those to me?

I'm viewing it with photo viewer of Windows and there is no vignetting.. you must have it turned on or something.

No, photo viewer also corrects it.
I see that too.
But if you open it without any lens  correction, you get what I see.

How come your image shows up a lot worse?

Check out what it actually looks like.

Because I look at the uncorrected image (how you send it to me) in Affinity Photo.
If you open that up in a program that makes a lens correction, you don't see it.

Most software have this auto correction (Windows Photo app does).
Even Chrome does a lens correction, so the preview in Google Drive is also corrected.
So when I open the file in Windows Photo viewer, I also get the 'corrected' version. (no distortion + vignetting)
But that is not what the file actually looks like.

Unfortunately I have no way to auto correct them myself, so if you could send me a batch of JPEG that are corrected from Lightroom, I can show what Affinity Photo can make of it.

From what I see, the second and the third AEB batch are close to identical?
Did you send a wrong batch?

Plus I only see 14 images instead of 15?
The first image seems to be missing DJI_0337.

Yeah, 337 was already in LR for some reason so it was behind other photos.  It's there on the Google drive now.  The horizon changing is probably because lock gimbal wasn't on.  : (

I thought not locking gimbal meant it would be steadier as the gimbal can rotate freely instead of locked w/ the drone.

Ok.
Might be, never had issues without gimbal lock.
Usually the shutterspeed is fast enough for a little bit of motion.
I don't use ND filters for photography. (to get a bit faster shutterspeed)

Next time you might want to move a bit more, now the overlap is ver big.
So the output is rather small compared to when you would have shifted the gimbal further between shots!

I was running low on battery as I came from a job where I selected start at waypoint 23 on dronedeploy instead of 1 thinking it will do all the waypoints but it started at the 23 and came back w/ 10% of what it should have taken.  I had to fly back out already using some battery.

I have never had sharpness issues because I don't use ND filters for photography and make sure the shutterspeed is fast enough to compensate for the little motion that might occur.
(ISO low of course)
