As responsible operators of sUAS in ANY country, we must be aware of risks relating to data security and overall sUAS safety.
If you haven't heard, the US DHS (Dept of Homeland Security) recently sent out a confidential memo to power providers in the US to advise them of concerns with "Chinese drone manufacturers." While this does not explicity list DJI, it may be assumed that DJI is one of the main manufacturers they're referring to (considering the previous reports on DJI and data security).
Shortly after this memo was distributed, Brendan Schuman of DJI (Vice President of Policy and Legal Affairs) met with the UK Parliament to discuss their inquiry

While it's difficult to answer hypotheticals proposed by government officials without significant knowledge of sUAS, it is not hard to see how Brendan avoided answering questions that would implicate DJI in unethical data collection. What do you think?
Note:
This is not a thread for political discussion, this is a thread for professionals to discuss the recent allegations and determine how we can best mitigate risk.

Brendan is a good man in a tough spot. I've learned over the years that there can be good people on both sides of a tough trust situation.
Very true, but there are some significant things he's standing for that should concern you.
