Finally I'm getting to the end of my drone footage from last summer (just in time for....)This video was one I was looking forward to making!
Featuring a freight train I have been capturing since 1995 on this station!

The video was taken on the last day we were here (and I knew this would be the last time for some years) so if I wanted to film the train with a drone it had to happen now....
All started well that morning, with nice sunny weather..
But when the train was about to arrive, it started to rain cats and dogs...
So I missed the arrival of the train, but decided to take my chance when the rain was not so heavy anymore.
Scared moments, but it was the best I could get out of that moment.

Luckily MP was doing great. Even in the rain. So I now (finally) have drone footage from this specific train shunting in Billingsfors...




Am I crazy?

Great video, 5 minutes is a little long for me to watch, I don't usually bother with anything over 4 minutes, but this one I did...There's something of a challenge to capture these machines isn't there? You've done that well despite the rain, congrats!

Great capture! I like all the details we can see like the slight snaking the engine does as it heads off down the track. I was hoping we'd see what was being transferred to the road haulage trucks - your video did not disappoint! One has to wonder though what was actually in those white bales? Paper?

I totally get that time 'limit'.
Usually I keep them under 4 minutes. Especially drone video's that usually only show some landscape.
(very beautiful, but you have seen it all in <4 minutes)

With my train video's it is different though.
Those keep me interested (and others, I can see that on the statistics) for a bit longer.
So that is why I kept a bit more of the footage.

Yes, it is some kind of paper produce.
They take it to Rexcell, some miles away from the station.

Great job The following of the train was awesome, almost a full minute, a fair distance I imagine.

Yes I was amazed how well MP did.
I could have flown further, but I noticed some water on the lens and got a little scared that it was raining more over there!

Once or twice in my time with my original MP - caught in an unexpected down pour - no problems though after drying out. I don't fly these days if rain is expected but you never know

I would not recommend it for sure.

Definitely splash proof I'd say - but the batteries are the main  thing to worry about when in contact with water. These drones are definitely not waterproof

The rain didn't seem to bother your drone, liked the video.  Wonder where the Fork Lift came from?  Perhaps in the smaller vehicle?  Keep at it Monty.

No, although I would not recommend it.
That for lift is situated there.
Never leaves the site (at least not that I have seen, and I have been there many times!)
