You want to launch under as much open sky as possible. The fewer trees and buildings around you, the better.
If you still can't get your happy seventh satellite, you can add a second copper foil shield onto the first which will help block interference from the wifi module which is likely causing your problem. You can find them on eBay which is best because they are multi-layered and non-conductive. You can make one yourself but be wary of conductivity. Tons of youtube videos on this.
Most say that Phantom mode is where you should be as a beginner because it forces you to learn to fly the aircraft conventionally. After a few flights and you're comfortable, you can switch to Naza mode if you want which will give you IOC functions and better rear lamp communication.
