It's pretty sad I signed up I am developing app for the smart controller and was not included in the beta. But I am currently trending in publicsafety on LinkedIn with a post of my upcoming app for DJI. DJI should strongly support the people that support them. If you like I can get you a picture of all six or seven smart controllers sitting together that were purchased in the last month or so.

Try to PM the "DJI SMC Team" directly and see if they can add you.

I think it can be usefull if there are no "tutorials" for the new features, so the people can help each other.....

I just switched on SRC and it offered update, I did get confirmation email but no instructions it’s all very vague I’ve done betas before but was always aware of what I was doing.[view_image]

I've got the same screen, however mine keeps getting stuck at 1%

Update, i removed the micro SD card from the smart controller and now it made some progress, however its stuck at 16% now.

The beta-update takes a while....
But if it really stucks, restart SRC,  Assistiant (2.08?) and try again.... I have done this 2-3 times and then all was fine...

Well I suppose when all beta testing is complete, I would expect a month or so .

There are a number of reports of the screen going gray or black and not showing what the camera sees - visual contact with the drone is gone.  Sometimes folks have to reboot 3 or 4 times to regain the view/contact.

FF22 is correct.  I experienced this for the first time last night.  So much for getting some great shots of fireworks.

Using beta over a week now haven’t seen this yet.

My thoughts and observations after 24 hours:
-No problems with doing the beta firmware update directly on the Smart Controller. Worked first time.
-No issues pairing the Smart Controller with the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0
-Audio during screen recording is low and sometimes muffled. It really can't be used for playback. I have the Smart Controller on a lanyard over my neck and holding it in both hands.
-No problems recording at either 4K or 1080P
-Joysticks are super responsive. No lag in response noticed.
-Range and signal strength are excellent at 2500 feet
-No issues accessing the DJI Go4 app or adjusting features

e.g. What should be tested ? How should work "skytalk"?

Well now i have access to beta firmware...the update went well but i had to remove first the SD card in order to do a successful update.

I will do the testing during the weekend.

Agree with you.... and above all, what's the reward for a customer to be a beta tester, risking to brick your controller or crash your drone due to a FW failure????

You are a beta tester, you should figure it out by yourself, good luck. Oh, and we're not interested in any of your feedbacks...

I got the email and when starting up my SRC it just offered new FW, no other instructions, everything is a bit vague, I’ve done betas before but was always aware of what I was doing , a bit strange is this one .

I concur. I design electroncs, programme, and test both hardware and software for designers I know. Vague is an understatement.
