My PC is running Windows 10 Pro version 1903.

After the install I tried to put back “DJI_Win_Driver” for

my A2 but I keep getting an error message that I have

been blocked by an administrator.

I am the only user and I have administrator rights. I even

went to “User Account” and turned off the notifications,

but still I get the same problem. Have tried downloading

driver from different sources but always the same result.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance

What happens if you select 'run as administrator' (right click on the file)

That is strange.
Are you on some kind of group policy?

Turn UAC off for the install. It is under System tools.

Sorry but if you read original post you will see I
turned off "UAC" but to no avail.

What exactly do you mean by "group policy"?
I am the sole user (with admin rights) of a home
PC with Win 10 Pro.

Ok, that rules that out...
I'm out of suggestions then.

Excuse me. I should have taken more time to read your post. I'm sorry my suggestion was useless. Good luck with your quest. I will not be bring my MSFT friends to assist then. Goodbye from Redmond.

You seem very touchy, for a professional,
I did not insult you. All I said was "Sorry but
if you read original post you will see I
turned off "UAC" but to no avail
."
If that offended you then I apologise and
thank you, for your input.

You stated  " I even

but still I get the same problem". That is not the same as turning it off during the boot process.

For Windows 10

STEP 1: Press the Windows key + [X] key combination, then navigate to Shut down or sign out.
STEP 2: Press [Shift] + left click on the Restart option.
NOTE: The action above will take you to the Advanced Boot menu.
STEP 3: Under Choose an option, select Troubleshoot.
STEP 4: In the Troubleshoot section, select Advanced options.
STEP 5: Next, select Start-up Settings.
NOTE: The Start-up Settings option will allow you to boot your Windows system in different modes.
STEP 6: Simply click on the Restart button to continue.
STEP 7: Since you will install unsigned drivers, press [F7] on your keyboard to select the 7th option “Disable driver signature enforcement.”
STEP 8: Proceed in installing any unsigned driver you want.
STEP 9: After installing, restart your computer, and the Driver Signature Enforcement will be automatically enabled from the next reboot.

Thanks for the reply. I printed off your instructions and followed them to
the letter.
All was going well until "Step 6". Went into restart mode but "hanged"
before getting to Step 7. Tried it several times but no success.
I have recently done two PC resets, hoping that might cure the problem,
but no.I also own a Win 10, Dual Boot, tablet and have tried it on there with different results. I managed to get all the way through your list but when
I tried to install I got the RED ERROR again.
I am now getting to the point where I might just give up on DJI.

The only thing I can think of is the driver download is corrupted.

Just a thought, I noticed you are loading from the E: drive. The Disable Driver Signature may only work from the drive the OS is loaded on, C: probably as it considers that the root directory. Try moving the file (or re-downloading it) to that drive and try the process again.

What do your MSFT friends suggest, Mr. Redmond?

Sorry, I don't have any more thought at this point. I know you have tried multiple PCs and the problem persists. The concern is that this does not appear to be a wide-spread problem as more would report it. If I were in this situation, I would totally re-install the OS on one machine and see if there is a change.

For OP-
Try:

booting into Safe Mode and installing the driver there. Win10 won't see the devices you're installing the driver for, but this is a fix that has worked for others with the same symptoms.

or you could try disabling driver signature protection by enabling "test mode" rather than in boot options as you tried before.

You will need to access this and change it as follows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

and change the value EnableLUA to 0.

To understand how to change this value, do the following:

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type %systemroot%\syswow64\regedit and then click OK.

OR

hit the Windows key and "paste" this: %systemroot%\syswow64\regedit by hitting "ctrl V" after copying the above bold text.
Once you have entered the registry, click on: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE then SOFTWARE then Microsoft then Windows then CurrentVersion then Policies then System
Next, you will see a dialog box with a #1.  Change this to 0 and exit.  Next, you will need to restart your PC for the changes to take effect.

Then, go the DJI site, download the Assistant 2 program again, and you should be able to use the program after a successful install.

Hopefully DJI gets this sorted out soon.  Sounds like a recent Windows update may have triggered this.

Good luck.

I went ahead and continued looking on the forums and found an actual udpate that helps.
THE FIX IS:

Simply change the date on your machine to the year 2014 while installing, and you should experience no issues. This is because the certificate used to sign the installer(s) by DJI has expired in 2015. DJI is so negligent with this issue, that they have not fixed this problem nor do they appear to be interested in doing so, ever.

For the tons of people that landed here from search engines, only to find an abandonded thread, you're welcome ;)
