NATS have subsequently apologised on their own blog at https://nats.aero/blog/2019/06/an-apology-to-the-drone-community/ However an influencial committee who will possibly shape the UK drone laws hear this from the person responsibe for managing how drone flights are safely managed in the UK airspace. You only have to read the posts on the forum to reach the same conclusion.
I have chosen a few people to follow here who I respect, there others for sure that I don't know who are very competent. In the main, I agree with NATS original view.
