So I just got my Ronin S, updated the firmware to 1.8.0.70. (the strange thing is firmware version shown on the command unit is  1.0.2.17, but on the App it is 1.8.0.70)
I followed the tutorial, set my A7III's  control by smartphone as "off", USB connection as PC remote and turn off AF.
However when I turn the gimbal on, all the focus wheel can do is engaging the digital zoom instead of shifting the focus.
I tried both the Sony 24-70 2.8 Lens and the Sony 16-35/4 lens, same results.
Anyone can offer a fix?

I'm having the same issue as well. I'm using the a7iii w/ Planar lens 50mm and 16-35mm GM lens. I updated the firmware, setup the sony to connect via PC through usb and turned off the connect to mobile device, I still get digital zoom on both lenses.

I contacted DJI support and they said that I need the MCC type C cable to be able to pull focus. I only had the MCC Type B.

Thanks man. I tried again with the Type C cable, works perfectly. Surprisingly all the tutorials online didn't mention using the type c cable.

Hi there, glad to know you have figured out, MCC-Multi supports the Zoom Control, while MCC-C supports Pull focus electronically, we do have made it clear in the compatible list, please check the screenshot below. GTScreenshot_20190712_112626.png

Hi SungSmooth, if you purchased the Ronin-S Standard Kit, the Multi-Camera Control Cable (Type-C) cable is included, if what you purchased is Ronin-S Essentials Kit, the cable will need to be purchased separately.
