Hi,

I have a question about registering my drone in Thailand.

I doubt if I should apply for NBTC and CAAT, or CAAT is enough?

...Tourists can bring their drones into Thailand. However, they are not allowed to fly their drones here until they have registered their devices with the NBTC or the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT)...

Thanks, Martin - Denmark

Hi, thanks for the inquiry. We would recommend coordinating this matter to the local department in this particular location for rules and regulations for flying drones. We're hoping that you could get the best recommendation from our valued DJI Forum members who manage to bring their drones in Thailand. Thank you for your support.

You definitely need both registrations. I am currently registering my drone for a trip to Thailand. CAAT registration is possible online. The NBTC, on the other hand, is only available locally. Since the vacation time is not enough to get a permit from the NBTC in time, I have assigned a local agent. The process is not yet finished, but the preliminary work looks very trustworthy. I decided to work with http://www.dronethaiinsurance.com/ for the NBTC registration. So far, this works excellently.
