It is brand new. Flown it 2 times. I get about a kilometer out in line of sight. (If I could see it that far) No trees, no buildings no nothing. It starts losing signal and the video is all choppy. Antennas are in the right position. I have a P4 that gets further out than the Mavic 2. Is there something on the settings I missed?

increase your drone altitude.  

Problem there is I live right were there is a gap in the Sierras in California and helicopters come through here about 100 feet above the trees. Only about 1 or 2 times a month during nice weather. Except for Coast Guard. They come through rain or shine. Don't need one of those guys to tag my drone.

You should check the radio signal gps count when flying
