This actually works on all the smaller DJI drones! I have seen it in action with a Mavic Air, Mavic 1, Mavic 2, and as you mentioned, Tello!

Yes, it takes some practice. You can see I struggled a bit in the video, but that was my first time trying it. I bet you get used to it

I agree actually. I felt like I had less control than with the RC-controller
