Has anybody reached 16 minutes of flight time? And I mean 16 minutes of flight time according to the DJI Go 4 App that rounds up your time, so if you have a flight time of 15:01 minutes then the App will reflect 16 minutes. My longest Spark flight time is 14:06 minutes and that was exhausting the battery down to 0%...Frankly the 16 minute advertised flight time by DJI for the Spark is impossible....

My longest flight (I think ;-) was 14:42, still 13% battery, just 675m of distance, but  lots of pictures.
16 minutes would be very hard to achieve, but with a new battery, freshly charged, good condition and location, 13% batt could give another 90 secs.
Ok, after that task, the new battery would age a lot

I purchased a new battery to my arsenal and I've failed to get more flight time on the new battery (slightly less but still 15 mins) more than my original batteries with the Spark in January 2018. I've hovered the Spark and it gets less flight time than if you fly around locally in GPS mode because hovering takes up more battery usage.

That will be an interesting one to follow this thread which has already given us some great tips of getting the max. out of a single battery.

Just 3 days left for this poll to end and almost 58% are sticking to <3000m.
Wonder what's stopping people from utilizing the full potential of the battery.

Letting the distance checks aside, my average flight distance over all logged flights is also just about 1.4k/battery
Ok, I do sometimes long/er distances,  but often it is just getting the bird to a location for a good picture, pano, sphere. And a bit looking around, for the better spot.

And some of my distance flights are just that: checking what I can get out, in meter and flight time.
Since using Litchi a bit, that is always good to know!

I understand that the average for most would be less and also flying long distances isn't fruitful always. But the idea behind creating the poll was that since people usually complain that the battery life of the Spark is not good enough, why not get an idea regarding what is the max. people are able to get out it.

But imho, the complaining is about flight time with there usage behavior.
Many people complain about "just 12 minutes, so only 75% of the supposed 16 minutes", but forget about the minute or two, they waited for GPS and that they are not using ALL of the batterie (minimum till 1 digits, for 15:xx min (=16 ;-), and that they just use 80 to 85% of the battery or have had charged it a couple of days ago.
Even knowing, they could squeeze 8km (or 9?) out of it, or 15+ minutes, it is still not what they want.

My guess, DJI did 16 minutes:
No SD card, no video/photo, no waiting for GPS, just direct starting to fly "full speed" (20kph) in 5-6 m height.


Perhaps I should do a POI with the mod 2.0, once.
Starting near poi, flying over till Spark is getting a position fixed, use position as poi, flying back/forward and up, starting POI with 20kph.

I just saw that my last POI was 14 and a bit minutes, 7k meter, but with just 300m in the first 2 minutes and  "only" 36-40 kph plus doing video. and I have to  wait about a minute for position, lately

So getting the speed down to max 20, plus not waiting for GPS, ...., can perhaps get me to 15.xx, who knows?

That's pretty impressive,  are you sure you didn't strap an extra battery on to the spark?
