Hi,

Has anyone taken the M600 and taken off at an altitude of 4000m above sea level (so the drone would be opperationg at 4100m above sea level)? We need to map an area, if it will even take off is there anything needing to be aware of: battery life, excess heat from motors spinning quicker, etc?

Mostly normal fly, time and cargo weith if you change the normal propellers for high altitude propellers, only over 2.500 amsl

so if I have a payload of 4kg, and I get the high altitude taking off from 4000m ASL doable and will fly for 15 mins or so?

Yes, but depend about wind velocity and temperature
