So, I'm a total noob when it comes to the SC. I just go it the other day and am just now getting around to look at it. I was reading the manual on how to charge it and notice that it doesn't come with an apapter to charge the battery with. Will my Samsung Note 9 adapter work with it? Just don't want to fry the thing before I even get to use it?

Yes, you can use the adapter. I use the fast charging adapter for my S10+ and have had no isuses.

Second that i use my S8+ adaptor.  

Yes adapter usually works well with my Samsung S7
