I saw some guys doing different antenna's for the controller to increase range.  Is there anything out there yet?

You can check this out:

I hope for the selling price that they work as advertised. $314, strange price for the lit and another $199 if you have them do the install.

I'm sure that there are some high gain antenna's available for less.

The verbage specifically says this can be done on the Phantom 3, then the detailed instructions they provide show them working on an Inspire.

What's the possibility all the wires end up in the same places?

Fpvlr cording and antenna works. I just modded mine. It's a nice setup.

Step by step. Very easy. Just be careful with the flat cables as to not disconnect them. If you do it isn't the end of the world, just lift the black tabs on the plug, plug cable back in, and push the tab back down. On a side note, I ran the cables up the middle and not up the right side. I did not want to cut any of the white glue that was holding the ribbon cables as I was afraid I would damage them. The cables were routed up the center with no issues.

It is for an Inspire remote but it is EXACTLY the same. I flew out 2.5 miles today and around with no signal loss with the basic antenna. No boost at all. Hope this helps.

No extra battery or wifi boosters. Just the internal connectors and the 9dbi antenna that mounts to the 3d printed bracket. It is costly at $179 but works and works well.
