During #Summer 2019 I took the opportunity to visit some of the North of Portugal and Fisgas de Ermelo was one of my favourite places.

My friendly #DJIMavicAir was used to film this video in 4K@30fps with the ND32/PL filter from Neewer, edited and colorgraded with #AdobePremierePro .
Using Neutral Density filters on my drone really changed my videos and photos quality and here is how I use them:
ND filters
ND4 / PL | Use during sunset and sunrise adn similar low light situations.
| ND8 / PL | Use at cloudy days where the sunlight doesn't hit directly the camera and acts like a softbox.
| ND16 / PL | Use during daytime with few or no clouds or when flimding right at a bright light source.
| ND32 / PL | Use during extremely bright summer / desert / water / snowy days.

To calculate the shutter speed the formula is simple: 2 x Framerate = Shutter speed for example, 2 x 30 fps = 60 shutter speed.
These ND filters do come in handy when trying to get that perfect light for your shot, specially when pairing them with some handy apps that can calculate the correct shutter speed you should use in combination with the frames per second and the ND filter.

Personally, I enjoy using the PolarPro mobile app available for iPhone and Android.
Here are other reccomended mobile apps to calculate ND exposure time:
For iPhone: Photopills or Neutrally+
For Android: ND Calc or NC Calculator Free
Do you use any other app that should be shared here? Let me know in the comments.
