Hoping somewhere here can give me some helpful tips to get my Phantom 3 Pro back to working.  I've been unable to get my device to connect to the RC.  A friend of mine gave me this P3P.  He was having difficulties with it so I brought it home, did the firmware update and things got worse than before.  Previously, I could at least get into the camera settings within the DJi Go App.  Now, as you'll see in the first video, you'll see when I start up the RC, drone, and then plug my phone in with the connected cable, it immediately shows a connection but then disappears as if it "lost" it's charging connection.  Can't even get into the camera settings at all anymore.

I've used several different devices (4 to be exact ... iPhones & iPads), I've deleted the DJI Go app and reinstalled, used several different cable connections, and even replaced the USB Circuit board thinking it was a faulty USB connection.  But I'm at a loss.  

The second video is me putting the firmware update directly into the remote.  It should show blue lights instead of red and perform the update, but it does nothing and then will "time out" and start beeping to turn the remove off.  

DJi tech support recommending sending in the remote for analysis but it's out of warranty.  So before I go through that headache, I'm hoping someone might have some potential ideas to try.
