As a aerial stills photographer, I was not impressed with those pictures (I'm looking at the DNG's).
Lack of detail, and much distortion. I hope they come up with a better camera for stills.

Then the Inspire is probably not for you.  The S900 with a proper gimbal and DSLR camera would probably be better suited to your specific use.

Yes, of course that would be better, and very much more expensive.
Have you considered adapting a gimbal mount for something like the Sony QX 100?

The sensor inside the QX100 is the big brother to the same sensor inside the Inspire 1.  I don't think the Inspire 1 will ever hold a full featured camera, but I bet they release new DJI cameras that use better sensors.  I am hoping they use a Four Thirds sensor in the next version of their Inspire Camera and I hope that it is gear towards still photography.

all good but 3000 usd are a lot of money for uncertain results.. i see the video blade posted.. first not in 4k and second seems a jscam video in 1080/30.. im sitting here with credit card details but afraid to buy a toy and not something can be used professional.. already once i believed dji with light bridge.. still a delusion..

You don't see the freeze every one second in maui rushs 4k? We don't judge with that...

Wow, very nice, thanks!  The size of the files is kind of scary at 183 mb for two seconds of video - I just downloaded the smaller one.  I guess that's the tradeoff for high quality video...

I would buy the Inspire if the dynamic rang was better. Have seen so many videos where the sky burns out. Otherwise the drone and camera looks great. Any chance that this will be fixed?
