Has it been concluded yet if we can only use the dji adapter?
Will just any other work?

So my main purpose would be to run an out from my analog mixer 1/4 to 3.5mm to record directly to osmo for my music.

Any advice or experience on doing this? Thank you!

Only the official adapter will work.  And it's getting quite hard to find in the shops / online.  An alternative approach would be to record the music to a separate recorder, then sync it with the video in your editing system.  That would almost certainly give you a higher quality result too.
