The island of Koh Mook is still an insider tip and a real dream destination. Koh Mook is located on the west coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea, but is still fairly unkown to most Thailand travelers. It is very quiet, has fantastic beaches and is ideal for island hopping to explore the surrounding islands of Koh Kradan or Koh Ngai. The beach bungalows at the Sivalai Beach Resort are just amazing! if you are there, in the afternoon (so you can bypass the tourist groups) take a private taxi boat to the Emerald Cave, directly from the hotel. It costs only slightly more than one on the public beach. It picks you up directly at the bungalow and brings you there again. We were almost alone in the cave!
