I have a vid crashing my p3p very much alike. You fly far, lose image transmission, panic, then hit the RTH button, forgot to set the rth altitude way higher, it comes back in a straight line, and as it has no front sensors...see ya my dear bird

Just curious; did you try locating the previous owner? I've found drones and have always located the owners to return it. I hope to never crash and lose a drone but if I ever do I hope someone would return it no matter its condition.

Might not be possible?
If the previous owner were a serious droner, he would go like "I already got me a Mavic 2 with obstacle detection, I don´t risk anything now"

I find this very hard to believe. Behind those grills are wires and circuit board. While the motors are brushless, it's not designed to withstand water damage. in 2 years the thing would be highly corroded inside.

Actually all the circuit boards are coated in plastic after the components and connecting wiring are soldered.  No reason why corrosion should be an issue.  There are sensitive components like the barometer, sonar and camera that would suffer from water exposure.  Note in the video he did not show images from the camera.

For "deathsquad": we are preparing now an episode 2, we have opened it, I do not know a lot of about cables and engineering stuff, but it looks very clean to me, there's a bit like dust and dirt on the arms but everything else looks in a good condition to me. I attach a pic:

It would be interesting to see if you could get it back to the original owner.  Maybe DJI could help with warranty/Serial number identification?!?  Oh wait, that would mean DJI would have to have a customer support staff that cared!  Never mind! Lol!
