I'm having problems importing files from the X7 into Premier Pro CC 2019 and also Media encoder.  The files where shot on the Inspire 2 X7 cine raw camera.  the files have been downloaded to an external drive but when I import them into premier I get a error message: "the source compression type is not supported"

The information is there in the file...
file name: A065_C003_20190913_PR00000.mov
dimensions: 5760 x 3240
Codecs: aprn
duration: 3:06
Encoding software: Lavf56.15.102

Intresting note.... on the same SSD card there are other files that have just "P00000.mov" instead of PR00000.mov. (the "R" is missing after the P). these files have a different file size and codec.  they are listed as follows:

Dimensions: 2704 X 1520
codecs: Apple ProRes 422HQ
Color profile: HD (1-1-1)
Duration time 00:53
Encoding software: Lavf56.15.102

These files with the Apple ProRes 422HQ play and import just fine.

Does anyone have info on what the issue is?  sounds like a Codec issue?  or is there any other software that will open these files so that I can import into premier for editing.

Thanks in advance.

Any chance you recorded some ProRes raw? ''Codecs: aprn'' sounds like it. ProRes raw is not yet (but soon) supported by Premiere.
You could hand a file over to someone with a recent Finalcut or Edius Software to check, as these are currently the only two editing systems supporting ProRes raw yet.

Thank you!!!  I downloaded a free trial of final cut X to check files and sure enough that imported the files fine....files are ProRes Raw.

Thanks for the help!  much appreciated!
