Hi, thanks for the inquiry. We would recommend flying the drone in an open area to prevent an invident. Howrver, we're sure that our valued DJI forum members would provide recommendation with regard to this matter. Thank you for your support.

Thanks DJI Tony, the idea is to fly across forest to obtain stablized slow motion video, I have tried to walk around with turned on dron to get stablized gimbal but still there is noticable "walking movement" on video. I have tried different technics and result is same.

If TRIPOD mode is available on the P3S then use that. It slows everything right down and I have used that for flying in forests perfectly.

Thanks for the TIP, P3S doesn't have that feature but mavic air has - it is worth to try.

Absolutely.  Tripod mode makes flying amongst trees safe and easy. I've done it a few times.  It slows everything right down and decreases the stick sensitivity so it doesn't jump sideways when you touch the sticks...

Hi, thanks for the prompt reply. We're sorry that we don't have official process on how this scenario will be done. However, we're hoping that you could get the best recommendation that you may need. Thank you for understanding.

I will say big "IoI"
I have tried the TRIPOD feature in the tight forest it is AMAIZING DJI feature, I wish I knew about it half year ago. The movements are so slow even when the stick fwd is set to max, and the visual obstacle detection system works great. It did not allow me to pass closer than 1.5m at fron and 3m at rear.

Wellsi - Thank you very much!

That was with P3 Standard ? I have never seen Tripod mode on my P3S or P3P ....

My way to fly in trees like that :

1. Disable RTH and have it hover or land if signal lost etc.
2. GPS mode can still be used unless tree-top canopy is very thick - so then ATTI mode is selected by user.
3. SLOW DOWN !!
4. Plan each move fwd and carefully with minimum stick movement.
5. If you have VPS - disable it as it can cause 'bounce'

Beautiful video ...

I often fly in dense forest, three things I recommend:
1. Proppeller protection
2. Turn off all sensors
3. Exercise Exercise Exercise.
