Any info on what will be included in the basic version of the Matrice 100, if i buy the drone will there be batteries, flight controller, RC, camera, etc. included? Or will these things need to be bought separetely?

And then there is the question about the price, but i guess thats not out in the open yet?

Matrice plus gimbal and X3 Camera is already 3800-3900$ Just to have the same functionality at 2900 Inspire 1 Who are they kidding?

You will NOT have the same functionality as with the inspire!
If you "just" want to produce Video's, I1 still the better choice (360° without landing gear in the Frame)...

M100 ist for totaly different Tasks and covers a complete different Corner of the market... :-)

Yes but Inspire 1 can't hold two batteries at once which I'm guessing would make M100 fly for about 30mins with the gimbal and X3 Camera

DJI is actually estimating 40 minutes with dual batteries.

Up to 40 Minutes and that's hovering time with no payload which means No gimbal no camera and no guidance system and with two TB48 Batteries which you have to buy extra because the drone itself will come with TB47 like Inspire

Yes the dual battery is the thing that sounds interesting with the Matrice 100, otherwise it seems as the Inspire 1 will be the suitable option for me if its between them two.
Also its nice that the matrice 100 can be fitted with additional modules for different tasks.
But if I'm correct the landing gears are not retractable on the matrice 100 and because of that i guess the landing gears would be visible in the video recording if one is filming in another direction than just straight forward. So that is not a good thing for a photographer.

The Matrice looks promising.
Just one question. Is the propulsion and flight system the same as the inspire1?
Just judging by the looks it seems as though this company has found a way to produce parts for themselves(Matrice 100).
Still have yet to see a break in the inspire1 issue. Untrustworthy In The Air. Cannot Obtain Good Repairs In a Timely Fashion. Randomly Changes it's Own Name From inspire 1 to Rogue.
One kudos to engineering. It looks to be a lot lighter than the inspire 1.
Should cost less to repair and might not do as much damage after an uncontrolled landing as the inspire1.
Hmmm.  Does have promise though. Wether it is negative or positive promise will be up to the same company that brought you the inspire1.    As for me.....I am keeping my money.

The specs shows the same motors but the landing gear does not raise instead it reduces the 'bouncing' once the aircraft touched ground. I would take Inspire over Matrice any day but I1 has very bad fame of dropping out from the sky and fly aways.

The M100 has a different controller N1 and the guidance module.  The Inspire is much more suitable for normal use.  For research and development by third parties the M100 is more desirable.

I agree but I just can't convince myself to buy 3000$ Drone that at the end of the day can just carry a camera, nothing else. Also if it flies away DJI will shrug and laugh at you.

The variety of sensors that it can be programed to carry is only limited by its capacity to carry them.  This is just the beginning for this platform.

Why do you introduce something like this when you don't have the GS for the Inspire.....Don

It would be more practical if the radio control range is also upgraded accordingly ....  e.g. 10km
40 min flight time but with only few km radio control range is not good enough .....
