I am interested in purchasing the inspire 1 but notice the following not addressed.  I am new to this and know from other camera purchases the value of having them.


1.  What is the cost of additional batteries?
2.  Will there be portable battery chargers?
3.  What kind of goggles work with the inspire?
4.  Big purchase but no case for the inspire 1?  Can you package it into a bundle with the dual remotes?


I appreciate your input.

for the standard battery it might be 100 dollars and there's a upgraded battery with is 5700mah but the price didn't came out

for sure the one from zeiss... hdmi

Official prices:
Standard 4500mAH batteries are $159 USD.
Upgraded 5700mAH batteries will cost $199 USD.

Now that the Inspire is in sight, I'm concerned about getting my hands on the TB48 Battery.

DJI won't let you place an order. I now have 3 dealer orders pending, 1 each with Dronefly, B&H and Intelligent USA.

I am hopeful that they will pull through.

Also concerned about a Travel case. Don't think that the included DJI (zippered) case is suitable for checked baggage. Hoping to use the DJI case insert (assuming it's removable) in my current P2V+ HPRC case.  Others too can simply buy a hard case and move the insert as needed. Unfortunately, have not been able to get the DHI insert dimensions.

I just physically checked and the  packaging is removable.  you can definitely fit it into another case.

I just flew on Southwest and my Inspire went through TSA and fit in the bin of a 737-700 with no problem.

In just the DJI case? Isn't the DJI case larger than what most airlines allow for carry on? It would suck if some picky gate/light attendant forced you to check the less durable DJI case it at the gate.

Regardless, this is good info because I fly Southwest all the time.

It is slightly wider that they would like.  It depends on your carrier.  I don't know how much you fly but if you see the oversized luggage that many folks travel with it would amaze you.  Much of it depends on the load on the aircraft.  My plan is to tell the Flight Attendant that the bag carries LiPo batteries and it is not eligible for portage in the belly of the aircraft.  They will find someone else to harass.  My wife is a flight attendant so I either see or hear about it all.  {:3_52:}

see the octofilms video that mentions the case. it is poured foam which is not removable and makes it quite rigid.

The DJI case of course.  Right now I only have 3 lipos.  If I move up to 5 then I need some wheels.  I am going to look for a small collapsable wheeled frame to transport the box.  I can put the frame in my backpack for flight.  I shlep a long way from the parking lot to the gate and my arms get tired along the way.  

My wife gave me a MR T-shirt for my birthday, Hexa flying.  I went through TSA this afternoon and the TSA guy said I was ok but the DRONE, well.  I told him that the DRONE was on the scanner belt.  The agent there looked at it, called another agent over to explain what it was and waived it through.  I have not had the case opened once in three flights.

B&H Photo is offering the 5700 mAh battery for $199.00 I pre-ordered 2 of them. "Love That Juice"

When I purchased mine a case was included
yes - I have currently on order two spare batteries from DJI 150 to 200.00
unsure on portable charger and Goggles

The case is now included and it is a pretty nice include.  Not a Pelican wheel case, but a nice case nonetheless.

Yes spare batterys are available , standard and extended flight battery as well $150.00 / $200.00.
Yes there is a car charger available .
The new fatshark 720p HD googles have an HD input and lots of other features $549.00  and the Ziess Cinamizer Glasses around $700.00 + .
The inspire Now  come s with the dji case included , I believe it does hold two controllers , iPads , and 5 batterys with one installed in the craft .(  Goprofessional custom Extreme Cases )are a better choice I think If your really going to do some travel , a much more Robust , sturdy case ...
