I need to see about messing w/ the upper part of the MF.  I never really thought of that because I think it will make everything closer blurry but I never really found out.

Don't mess with MF, this option is for experienced film makers or twin RC setups. Set AF, hover, tap to focus on the object, forget it and fly. Keep the aperture at f 5.6 - 8 to maintain optimal sharpness across the frame, adjust ISO to maintain proper exposure for given shutter speed.

Did you even read what I've said?  I said I do video.  Of course, if I'm doing a photo I do AF as it's better unless you are shooting through a fence.  I've tried doing MF but most of it is off.

When you focus on an object and fly things will get blurry.  Apparently, you don't fly as I do so you have no idea but I do like your advices.

yeah but it's not real-time tracking autofocus so when you start flying closer or far away, within a few seconds or less the sharpness in-focus is gone

I was introduced to it when I was looking at the Sony A6400 and how people were freaking out about the feature.  I was going to get it as a starter to filming.

This feature is really nice for handheld cameras, and is employed with DJI Osmo Pocket already. I believe it is also offered as option for P4P, called AFC (Autofocus Continuous).

Manual AF is the only way to go when you shoot through a fence.  I did it day 1.

My first-day w/ the A7 III 24-240mm in real-life.  I was screenshotting the videos I took in MF because most or all the single-shot pictures I took of like 300+ were garbage.

Don't talk s* about things you know nothing about.  I should explain only in presentation mode.

I had racers and motorcyclists say calling crossplane and V4 engines sounding like lawnmowers tell me they sound nothing like it.  I went to the race track and it was first-hand experience.  I compared the sounds of those and a lawnmower with some Youtube videos.  I said the I4 engines sound like F1 which I used a video to compare and no one has responded ever since.  People were responding like 5 times every 10 minutes prior.

People like you give good info at times but you guys aren't right all the time and those times are when people get killed or worse with certain incorrect info.

I just wanted to know simply how to make everything in focus.  It would have been so simple as saying work with the upper-end of the MF.

I think it will make everything closer blurry but I never really found out.

You think so?
You don't know much about your camera and how much depth of field it has at any aperture.
You should do some test shooting to find out.
Unless your foreground is closer than about 2.5 metres, everything will be in focus.

The aperture makes almost no difference to depth of field for drone photography.

Oi, no need, he was trying to help you, you ungrateful piece of  "insert insult here"

Your original post says

How do you make everything sharp throughout the image like the M2Z and X3 camera at f/2.8?  I know if you increase to f/11 it's like that but it gets significantly darker.  How can you make it where everything is sharp at f/2.8??  The constant auto focusing sucks when you change perspective distance.  When you get closer it's blurry.  When you get further, it's blurry.  You can do AFC but it's not smooth.

Perhaps real-time tracking-AF needs to happen in future drones?

So, what part of that clearly says its video and not photo, normally i associate ''image'' with photo but i spose thats just me....

You said that you do video, yet your next post overflows with images of a yellow banana, they look like stills to me, screen shot or not, still, stills, you evidently couldnt achieve the photos you wanted on the day so you filmed it in 4k knowing you could grab stills from it....

Next thing is, so this is nothing to do with the P4 range then, just you not knowing what youre doing, you buy a £1500 gbp (body only price) cameraplus lenses thinking that it would produce the shots/videos you require straight off the bat, as youve been told before, it doesnt work that way...

Your main issue on that track day are 2 things and they go hand in hand (my limited knowledge), 1, too far away from that chain link fence, 2, lens is not big enough
The closer to the fence, the less likely it is it will interfere with the operation of the lens, namely focusing. You mentioned 24mm to 240mm, thats not even a prime lense
so you can expect a lot of hunting about looking for focus because of that fence, get closer to the action or spend $$$$'s on decent glassware.

If it is about the P4P then youre deffo not listening to your peers...

You don't even know how I had to shoot the shot.  I had to get elevation (I was on bleachers) otherwise the other parts in between me and the far away Porsche would get in the way.  I know it seems I'm not Professional but the way it was taken, you cannot take it better with what I had for those pictures.

Looking novice is very bad as people will Always think about it.  This is why I like to learn here so when I meet new people, I know what not to do because there is really nothing you can do about the people who knew you from being novice.

Well, that confirms what an utter wacker you are, shooting through a chain-link fence. And on top of that, you elect to place that wanker's watermark on the shots. Keep it up, this just gets more entertaining all the time. What next? An appearance on Dr. Phil?

My very first drone job, well 2nd actually, he saw the portfolio and called me.  He said he loves the GT3.  Was for an AT&T building orbit and luckily the M2Z was good at range.  Other clients have seen the portfolio too and called me.  Now, no one calls because everyone is doing it.

Where do you think I can shoot from.  There is only 1 good spot to shoot the Supercar event and what better way to put pictures on the website than to go to the event?

Some of the pictures I took the first few days w/ the camera from really no experience at all.  I had to resize the images as they are all greater than 2.0MB.  I need to go back to this behavior.  I didn't get paid for any of these shots.

Not many people get paid for their first efforts with a camera.
Most camera users never get a dollar for anything they shoot.

I didn't get paid for any of the shots because it was my first time messing w/ the camera.  The shooting gigs I had were coupled w/ drone shots.  Happy clients but they never really called again.

I learned a lot about how business works.  If job orders don't happen, you make nothing.  I've learned quicker about assets after messing w/ Cryptocurrency back in late 2017.

I got into the Spark after I wanted to film human Sports, myself, so I can see where to correct.  I need to get back to doing it.  I was going to get a Gopro Hero 7 but I couldn't get the order through for some reason so I canceled it.  Looked into the Pocketradar but returned it.  Looked into the Nuraheadphones but cancelled it.  Saw a tracking tripod but it was $800+.  Looked into the Spark.  I got it thinking the M2 controller was what came w/ the Spark.  I did Activetrack w/ it.  Quality was bad but it was the cheapest drone and I was happy.  Messed w/ the DJI video app and it clipped the stuff together and it amazed me.  Ended up making a few videos for fun.  Had lots of support from the DJI Spark community.  I'm not sure if I got my e-bike built before or after the drone.  I think I got it for something to take with me w/ my e-bike.  I'm not sure if I got the A7 III before or after the Spark but it was very close.  I got injured on my e-bike by braking too hard and going over the bars.  I got my FAA Remote license quick for WGL and Dronebase.  I thought people would call and I would get jobs but I got nothing from them.  I ended up using another website that worked.

Opticalflow ruined it.  I should have left it at 30 but I deleted the files as I was very new.

Anyways, the presentation equipment and skills are great to have.  I understand people won't believe me with text and words.  If they like me, they would believe but it's rare.  If I show concrete examples, people would understand and understand deep on their own.  I just need to put the effort in combining everything I've seen and how to go about.

Every client I had led me to something.  Either pictures and e-biking NYC to buying new drones from their needs.  I got hired on a roof ortho because the guy misread and thought I had one but we were already talking.  I had an M2Z.  I said if I had a Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 would you hire me?  We did it anyway and we went from there.  Had many jobs from that connection with his boss hiring for more.  I was going to return it too as the jobs died out.  Clients like the P4 so they hired me, now no one does as it's too saturated.

The M2P SC purchase was because the latest client said the M2P produces better images than the Inspire guys.  He looks at hundreds of separate drone photos and said the M2P is better in many ways.  I was like hey, I might as well get one.  Looking at X7 photos, most of them are blurry so it makes sense.  Sure at night, it would be better for video but the Inspires don't sit still as the M2P so they can't capture crisp images at night.

If I can just generate ideas for businesses I can make a lot of money.  I'm still in debt because I bought more equipment.

AFC makes the image warp for a bit making that recording section unusable.

I will remind you on Black Friday.

If I succeed in buying my Samsung 4K TV, you’ll need not remind me. ;-)

Samsung QLED Q90 65" in my sights.

QLED isn't the same as OLED.  LG OLED 65" is better.  You cannot get pure blacks with QLED.  I have a Samsung CRG9 so I know.

HDR1000 and OLED is what to look into but QLED is great.  I just think the reason why they didn't drive OLED up in brightness is due to manufacturing cost and the fact OLED probably gets less bright as it gets old so they milk the market with another technique because people don't care about 100% dark black levels.

The tech though..

It’s remarkable how far hifi and video entertainment has developed.

People build houses around their home theatre/listening zones.

I'd want to custom my house according to what I like to do the most for efficiency and easy modularity.

Instead of bowling, mine would have to include a four - six lane archery range. ;-)
