Hello,

can anyone please help me and advise what I did wrong while capturing these pictures? I was using Mavic Air, I captured the pictures in RAW-format, but they look so grainy and disgusting. All pics are quite heavy - over 20MB, but do not look appealing at all. And while zooming in they look so pixelish and low-quality. I am a total beginner - I fly up and click capture picture button, so any tip or explanation is highly appreciated.

Without zooming in,  they look fine. If, when you zoom in, it seems too pixelated, your ISO is too high. Also, were you using auto, or manual camera settings?

RAW, by default IS grainy.
Especially with a small (DJI) sensor.
You have to apply a noise filter

Setting your ISO to the lowest helps.
Also, exposing to the right helps.
But that's all you can do.

Hmmm weird, it was auto, but ISO was 100 for sure. Maybe I will try again today with some manul settings. Given the quality of photos uploaded here by other mavic air users I think it should look better.

Light ratio is too big. Especially you face the sun in the first photo. Try take photo when the light is not too harsh.

This is my second try. Manual settings: white balance as for Sun. ISO: 100, shutter speed 1/500 or more cuz I kept changing it, but no matter what my pics are far from these breathtaking photos people post here. What to do?

My smart friend advised me she would most likely used here ISO 400, shutter speed 1/100 and aperture f22 to compensate... can we adjust aperture in mavic air? (I don't think so)

F22 doesn't suit small sensors. For your Mavic Air, to get best quality photo, keep aperture larger than F8, ISO lower than 200, adjust shutter speed according to the environment.

Need a polarizing filter.
Shutter speed 1/100, and ISO 400? Maybe, but I might go with a little lower ISO.

Make sure your ISO is at the lowest possible. The drones also over sharpen the image so it may be wise to do a bit of noise reduction
