Sunrise over Mount Leinster in the Blackstairs Mountains, the border between Co. Carlow and Co. Wexford in Ireland. Unfortunately there wasn't any way I could get the shot without the sun in the photo. The river you can see is the River Barrow, which is also the border between Co. Carlow and Co. Kilkenny.

The picture was taken at the B&B where we stayed, it's really off the beaten track. I was setting up the Mavic as a local resident was passing and he stopped for a chat. He said his son  had one but he'd never used it. We had a good conversation about drones and photography and he left saying he would maybe give his son's drone a try. It was nice to have a positive encounter.

I travel with a drone quite often, and it's been about 2 years since I had a slightly negative encounter. Most people are just curious or want to share their own experiences with drones. I even carry cards with my email and youtube channel on them and hand them out to anyone who wants to ask me questions or view the footage that I'm shooting. I've also had several people ask me to email the pictures. My favorite was a little old man in Ireland that was fixing his fence. I asked if it was his land and if I could fly my drone over it. He was amazed when I let him see the footage on my iPad as I flew, and after I emailed his son pictures of their field and farm. He was very thankful.
