Yes anthills Bob, we call them termite mounds over here, various shapes, sizes and colors.

Thanks HH, I don't get to play with them that much but I love the 3D possibilities with them in terms of scale. Hopefully next time I'll have time to try some different shots especially with the sun really low. I had no choice but to shoot these in the middle of the day, but that can kind of work too as it highlights the hot, remote locations you find these in.

They have a rich earth tone to them, the trees of dark brown, silver, and green, with the ground a lighter earthen tone, it's really nice.  Sure good to see videos and photos of this kind of things, that some folks would not see in a lifetime.

Yes the interesting thing is they can be anything from black to deep red to gray to white, because of course it depends on the soil color the ants are working with.

Stunning footage as usual. I must have missed the crocs though.

Thanks DAFlys, yes I have crocs on my list but didnt have time to actively look for them this time. One of the Rangers in Nitmiluk National Park told me later that there was at least one large croc in the gorge when I was filming though.
