Just to follow up since this has been out there for a bit...

Has anybody had any problems updating their Smart Controller using this method?

Tried to update smart controller to Go 4 on 2022-0115. When finished, controller screen said "cannot use with this device". Not sure if this reference was to the smart controller or to the Air 2 drone.

The Mavic Air 2 uses the Fly app, not the Go 4 app.  The same procedure works for updating the Fly app from the DJI downloads website as was described in this video for the Go 4 app.
