Hi everyone, I wanted to know if only I should always use h264 because if I put h265 with dlogm I only see video noise..

I dont think its dlogm thats the problem, its the dlogm to 709 rec thats the problem, with the right processing dlogm is ok

DLOGM footage is not meant to be used straight from the drone,  its expected that you will import the video into an editor, apply a LUT and colour grade etc the video before using it.    If you look at the Mavic downloads section they have a LUT you can download - https://www.dji.com/uk/mavic-2/info#downloads

Yes, I know that the lut dji needs to be applied first, but the problem is that nothing changes. Already the original video in dlogm is with video noise

What were your settings when you filmed it,  perhaps you didnt have the ISO at 100.

I'm confused. The first example is using h.264. I'm not really seeing noise so much as what looked like compression artifacts, but that was viewing the video in the browser at full-screen -- after downloading it and playing instead in QuickTime Player, it looks pretty good to me. I wonder if it looks even better on a native 4K display since nothing has to be scaled?

They are both h265 videos but exported in h264. The noise (especially on the right side) I see it in premiere pro when I import the h265 video and also later after export.   And the image is also very thick

I think we're seeing the same thing, especially noticeable over the conifer trees? But then again, scaling artifacts would be most noticeable over those trees as well, I guess.

Oh, I recall when you use DLOG your iSO settings are ignored and ISO500 is actually used -- maybe that has something to do with things?

Yeah, you'd think the noise would be indistinguishable on h265 vs. h264. Have you posted h264 capture vs. h265 capture video comparisons yet?
