If I'm honest with myself I'm like a drone magpie!  I will probably purchase  then play then  go back to using my M2P/M2Z that said still like the MA but  still find myself bringing the M2P  on my travels.

Maybe drones are becoming like guns or knives where people have their faves but have an EDC  (every day carry) so this might fit in if it folds smaller than the MA/spark but is less of a toy than the Tello!

I have a Tello and to be fair for practice and a bit of fun it good but for something to use as holiday or meaningful footage its just not the ticket, very small (bit noisy) but easy to deploy and also great indoors!

If the release is a halfway house and maybe cam quality similar to say the original Mavic (but not to pee off its siblings) then its worth a look.

I predict that her indoors might be in a mood with me!

Thanks for posting these specs. I heard that it wouldn't be 4k, but didn't know if that meant HD or 2.7k. Personally, I'm totally fine with 2.7k, and I can barely tell the difference between 4k and 2.7k on a 65" UHD TV.

Very cool guys! It's my birthday soon and I ordered myself an osmo mobile 3 as a gift, and here they are going to make such an announcement. I feel we are waiting for a lot of new good news!

Looking forward to see what it is. Most likely a Mavic Mini I guess.

I'm with you on this one.  All their drones at this point should have OcuSync.  Anything less is a step in the wrong direction.  Com'on DJI....that's a huge strength in your drones...take advantage of it!

Wish it was the next Phantom but doubt it.  Really would like to see what comes are the Phantom 4 series.  A water proof drone would be cool too.

First things first !! The goggles RE on the mavic 2 are faulty!!! Fix that first before releasing anything guys!!

I wonder what the price will be...

This should be Spark 2 done right.... no obstacle avoidance and other useless stuff for experienced guys but 3-axis gimbal and very good battery life. The only enigma is transmission, if it will be reliable as Ocusync than fine, if more of the Spark/Air wifi crap (at least for Europe), than I will skip this one.

I'll await the official launch / specs, but I still can't get past those screw in props, and from the images kindly posted above, the screws below the props. They're both FUGLY

Leaning more towards sticking with my Spark and saving my hard earned for the MP2, or even the MP3 if those whispers are to be believed.

If it is the Mavic Mini, I hope it has a better battery life than the Air (12 mins) .... by the time you're up and few yards away ... you need to start coming back.

Ohhh it looks nice! Hmmm looking forward for the release and more (real) info about the specs. Might get this are a Mavic 2 next year (or M3 if that an option by then).

True, or maybe just shaped that way to keep the Mavic look.
