A million shades of autumn hues from amber red to neon yellow gild the green lawns and greener waters of Lake Sacajawea. Overhead, the deep blue of a bright October afternoon contrasts with the riotous glory of fleeting color and brilliance below. From the Japanese garden to wide boulevards and elegant fountains, there is much to see in the green heart of Longview.

I managed to catch the perfect window of good weather and peak fall colors to film this video Southwest Washington. Aerial shots were captured with the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom, and the ground based shots were filmed with my Nikon Z6 using the 24-70 F4S and an old Canon FD 50mm F1.4.

Thanks, I love the Z6 - filmed a ton of videos with it since I bought it about 6 months ago. Definitely worth the upgrade over my old Canon 80D!

I was considering it, but it was (way) too expensive for me.

Just got a D750 instead as an upgrade to my D610.
That last one was not too good on the video part.
The D750 is really much much better.

Yeah, I took advantage of a sale and got one at a decent discount - the D750 is an excellent camera though, and the great thing about it is that there is so much great, reasonably priced native glass for it. There aren't man Z series lenses yet, and they all cost an arm and a lag!

I would have done the same (after some years) if I had not found a D750 brand new for 'only' € 991,- at Amazon.
That was such a steal deal, that I decided to make an upgrade.
I can't believe how bad the video from the D610 actually looks compared to the D750.
Totally different camera so it seems.

The only problem (for me) is that all my lenses are primes (that is a good thing most of the time) and the body does not have VR.
(neither do my lenses).
I tried various Nikon zooms with VR but they are both too heavy for my likes and the image quality is too much behind.
So I will stick with the primes and do some stabilization in post.

You can use the adapter right?
Or did you not go that road?

Almost as expensive as the camera, but it's incredibly light and compact with in-lens VR. The internal VR in the Z6 is really good - that, and the 120fps capability of the Z6 have really improved the quality of my videos.

Now I have some time to start saving for a Z + adapter

I'm really excited about that system, but money is still an issue here.
