Two videos of the Terra Cotta Warriors.  The figures were based on real people, each is unique and they are slightly larger than life size.

Brilliant,  never seen those before like this, thanks for sharing.

While somewhat crowded, it was fascinating to see in person.  Two of the famous figures were in separate display cases so you could see the details.

Looks interesting!
There is however a large amount of flickering.
Where was this filmed?

Where was this filmed?

Inside a huge warehouse type of building or hangar - curved/arched ceiling.  I noticed the flickering when filming (there's an old term) and have read that the frequency of fluorescent lights can cause an issue.  But frankly there was little time or space to start playing with settings.  It was capture the scene or move along.

We actually commented to each other that putting up the roof without dropping anything on the terra cotta figures had to be challenging and stress inducing.  At the rate of excavation, it will take generations to reveal them all.

If anyone dropped anything they would have probably followed in the footsteps of the original artists/ceramicists.   They were executed so that they could not do similar work for the next emperor!!!!

Must be that fluorescent lighting indeed.
Not sure if China is using the PAL or NTSC frequencies.
