Got mine combo today, ordered on oct 30 (or 31) from DJI. Didn't expect it till next week, just 24 hrs back it was in China. Second battery is charging, tomorrow is big day ;)

PS: I know older drones are sort of better, but I'm not going up in size any time soon.
PPS: sticks feel stiff, which makes precision flight difficult. I'm ordering longer sticks from mavic air, they should fit according to reviews.
PPS: it's so small, that the whole thing with batteries, transmitter and charger fits into my multi-pocket jacket , initially designed for photographers.

It does better than I thought in the wind, with my weather app saying 15mph and there were 20-25mph gusts and the footage was stable when I sent it up.  It seemed to be rocked around a little bit, but not to the point where it would be messing up the video or stressing the drone.

The next windier day that I get I could get some videos.  You could also look on Youtube.  Anything over 20mph is gonna really push it, as it may fight going head-on into the wind because one time I was going roughly 2mph trying to get through 25mph wind gusts.

How stable connections Mini has while flying?

Which phones can be used with it. My Motorola won't even load the app, which is poor. Will all Samsung run it eg A10

I love DJI products, and specially mavic mini.
Nevertheless I am disappointed because don’t have follow me function!

Can you add in a new firmware upgrade?

Samsung A50 works fine. In theory all phones with android 6.0 and up should work

It depends on the area. Today close to downtown over the water I lost video connection after 300+ meters, got it back when MM came to 200 meters. Control was fine till 400++. I turned it back, it was hard to see ;). Yesterday got sluggish  video at about 400 meters, but I think that's because of a small building which jumped in between.

I'm going to spend my vocation In US this December. I arrive in LA on 12 December. I will be in LA only 2 days.
Who knows, where can I buy Mavic Mini Fly More Combo in LA??

Yes you have to calibrate the compass and the IMU. VERY VERY IMPORTANT.  when you open the app go to the top right-hand corner where the three dots are hit that. it will bring you to a screen a safety section scroll down until you see compass and IMU follow the prompts as you hit calibrate

First time for sure, in fact it shouldn't allow you to take off.
The manual says do calibration when time has passed since your last flight also if you move more than 30km.

Flied for the first time - Mavic mini,  there was a Firmware update but it didn’t popped up, I had to manually go to the option to check then figured out that there is an update.
Do I have to check it manually or it will pop up automatically?

I've had mine a week so far and i love it, haven't flown much though. I live in Class D airspace and there has been a blizzard out so can't get out and get to a safe place. Only flown in the house, but I do love it.

BestBuy promised to have it by Dec 5. But check if US version is legal in Russia, or you will not be able to bring it back.

For the manual states, if the conditions, altitude, location has changed over 30km it is recommended recalibrate the compass, in my case the APP said to calibrate both.
I took the car the other day 50Km away and as soon as I started the App and aircraft again asked for calibration. I guess it changes depending where you are and the geography.

this is good to know as i havn't thought of this. I plan on doing some traveling this summer so I will keep this in mind. Thank you!

Deffinitely recommended to do at least compass calibration. Today I also went away not that far like at 20Km and the APP didnt said about updating the compass, however once I was going to my third battery it prompted with Compass calibration needed... Not cool if it happens mid flight, since it takes literally under 20 seconds, is worth it!

Just received my mini and I'm having compatability issues with my Galaxy Note 4 looking for help getting and installing the fly app

Yes, definitely you have to calibrate your MM (GPS and IMU) and, possibly, also the compass in your phone

It's been a rush. I still can't believe how capable this little drone is. Even crippled, it steals the show. Imagine what it will be able to do once third-party software developers get their hands on it..
