Even if it only lasts real usable 25 min, its a big improvement over the Spark.
I wonder if it can be flown with the Spark's R/C? DJI anyone?

Waiting to watch some real reviews. Especially interested to see how it can stand against quite strong wind (that was I think one of the problem for Spark)

I looked up the signal frequency of both and they are a close match but I can not locate any info that confirms compatibility. Does anybody actually have hands-on knowledge?

From their video it looks like flying on top of  and in front of people is ok.

Probably yeah.
And (with DJI) it is probably good to wait for the first mass test bugs to be fixed too

Wait, no obstacle avoidance... Some new pilots are going down, and fast.  

I like very much that the battery life is now about 30 mins (twice as much as the Mavic Air). The video at 2.7k is quite good (better than 1080p). I'm not so sure about obstacle avoidance (removed) and range, though I never venture farther than 1 mile.

One question: The new movie modes (dronie, rocket, helix, ...), would those be made available on other drones as well or are they specific to the mini?

Mavic Air has the movie modes you refer to and includes others as well (ie. Asteroid, etc.)

Can't find availability for other regions...

I'm trying to find out if the mini has fix-focus... Anyone?

A silly question.  Would there be any after market filters for the mini?  I know it doesn't shoot in manual, but would that ever be added?
