Thanks Alex, you convinced me of buying the Mavic mini. I owned the Mavic Air and grounded it since I'm annoyed the restriction implemented here in Canada.

I'm only a bit disappointed by the app (no manual mode for video).
But we'll see if DJI adds that (I doubt it).
Does it have 25 / 50 fps?

How is the propeller noise compared to the Spark or the Air?  Is it louder or about the same?

You can't risk having manual exposure in video with no OA with novice pilots.  They will crash and file claims.

I don´t think that just because the MM is small and lightweight, you will be able to fly anywhere. I think there are many countries where most of the rules will still apply.

My understanding is that drones under 250gm in weight don't have to be registered with the FAA but they are still subject too all the flight rules and restrictions as larger drones.  Am I correct?  This is only in regards to the USA.  I don't know how this applies for other countries.
