I have been watching the review videos since they started popping up and I am under the impression that you can only fly the Mini via the controller. That seems a bit odd since even Mavic Air can be used without the remote / using only the phone. I could not find the full manual but quick start guide also does not mention an option to fly via the app.

So as the title suggests, is it possible to fly without the remote?

Hi CemAygun, Mavic Mini doesn't support to connect to the mobile phone wirelessly. It must connect to the remote controller.

Very strange and not so clever.. Most actions using Spark on holiday was quick gesture control or phone, just for selfie or dronie. Now you need to take controler and the whole mini goes maxi...
