DJI, could you give us the option of purchasing different battery capacities and weight for the mavic mini? 249g is so close to the regulation requirement, adding a skin or any small accessory puts this over the limit too easily. If we can purchase lighter, smaller capacity batteries (Like a 2200mah or 2000mah), that would give us a little bit of play room to customize our drones a little bit , like your creative kit for the mini as an example. Please consider this for the future. We don't always want 30min of flight time if we go over the limit too easily by adding some small customization. I would take a hit on flight time for certain scenarios where i just need a few minutes of flight.

Does anyone agree with me on this? I think it would be a great thing to do!!!

Thats fine, maybe this will get more traction once the drone is released and people start using it and getting in trouble for it being 1g over the 250g limit lol. Maybe the FAA and authorities won't care or the limit will be increased to 300g thru DJI lobbying for us pilots.

Could we at least purchase the japanese batteries here in the other parts of the world?? That would be a good compromise. If people agree or have something to say, please reply to this thread. Thanks.

But if your flying a drone that says 199grams on the side but you swapped in a USA battery no-one is going to check that.
