Trying out the timelapse feature on my smartphone, I found some odd behaviors.

If use manual focus, the app will not fire off the camera shutter. The SC will only fire the camera in AFC or AFS. This seems a bit odd. The GH5 is not renown for it's AF and manual focus would seem the obvious solution on certain time lapses.

Secondly, I set up a 180 degree pan. Then exactly halfway through pan, the camera goes out of level.

What's happening here?

OK the first part was my error. I had GH5 in time-lapse mode, not single shot. But even though I make extra effort to ensure the tripod head is level, the gimbal does not keep camera level throughout the pan.
