only reason why i want the fly more combo is for the carry bag.  i haven't see it for sale by dji separately, do you think this will be available?
for buyers who have their own cases or backpacks, do these usually end up for selling their carry bag?

otherwise, i would buy the drone by itself today and worry about getting more accessories later.

Some will appear on ebay i'm sure. It's a bit big and bulky to be honest. I would prefer a backpack. I'm getting the flymore but doubt I will use it.

you can buy the batteries and the charger without buying the combo kit.

if you cannot purchase the combo but you want extra batteries and charger, i would suggest you buy the drone only and buy as many batteries as you like along with the charger (since it appears those items, while not readily available, will eventually be available at a fair price).

if you cannot purchase the combo but you want the case, i wouldn't suggest you buy the drone only hoping to buy the case later but as of this week, i may have changed my mind because i'm hearing combo owners don't always care much for that case so they might sell them soon (even if dji never sells the case).

never seen the case up close so maybe i'm overreacting but today i did see the unbranded cases start to appear.  we'll see.

I contacted local retailers and they said the combo case wont be for sale separately.
The combo is better price compared to buying the stuff apart, but I agree if you plan on taking other camera gear with you the case might not be used all the time.
Third party vendors will develop a wide range of carrying cases.

I’ve been looking for some kind of case for the mini and they don’t exist..

I dont like the clear pocket to show off your drone.  I like to be a bit more stealthy.

Yeah me too.  Same goes with those camera bags that have their logo or name on them.  It's like streaming rob me.  Lol.  I guess it depends where you live or travel.  For sure I wouldn't take a clear bag or one of those camera bags on a bus or train.

Agree with most here showing off the logo is not a good idea.
I will probably end up using my main camera bag, and will wait for some small protective case only for the drone. A padded photography bag is the safest way in my opinion.
