Out of curiosity, I downloaded the DJI FLY app, which is made specifically for Mavic Mini. I was surprised that it is working on DJI Spark.  Manual Settings while on VIDEO MODE is working while my Spark is connected.   That means, the Manual Settings for Video is already in the app, DJI only needs to do is to ROLL OUT an UPDATE  to MAVIC MINI to be able to use the MANUAL SETTINGS on VIDEO MODE!

Forget about that!

The go4 has mission, poi, .... IN the app, working with the spark!
it just needed to be released! (go4 mod 2.0)
And DJI did not block that options from an app, only if it was connected to the spark, to give it back, later.
Same with the Mini: She can't (must not) do, what she can do. Hurts the sales of other Drone models!

And since the fly connects to the spark, mavic Pro, which is already confirmed (Spark with video), I assume the fly is just "a Go4" with another name and a bit slimmed.
That the code is very close is also pointing (imho), that the fly apk wants to UPDATE my installed Go4 mod 2.0
And google play, after I found the Fly, tells me that I have it already installed and is opening: The go4 mod 2.0!
go figure ;-)

I like the cleanliness of the screen in Fly App as well as the UI. Very user-friendly!

Anyway,  what I am trying to show here is that Mavic Mini will DEFINITELY GET the MANUAL CONTROLS on video mode.

Official GO4 app will make folder dji/dji.go.v4..
You install mod, which create dji/dji.go.v5..
Now, FLY app check for folder dji/dji.go.v5..

Medicine:
Dump official GO4 app and modded app.
Delete dji folders dji.go.v4 and dji.go.v5
Make a clean install of modded app, it will create dji.go.v4 folder.
Dji FLY app (from dji download section) will install as normal, and will create dji.go.v5 folder.

Mmmhhhh, I think I will look more into this, when/if I buy a Mini!
I was just curious, how I could connect the fly to the Spark.
But don't wanna change my working setup on my flight devices.
Need 'em next week! ;-)
And right now, I am not sure that I have another 64 bit device available, to check on the mini.

I think cinematic mode is same as Go4's Tripod mode but a lil bit faster.

No. Tripod mode just slows down all movements. Cinematic mode dampens the acceleration and braking so that you don't get any jerk in the footage. Top speed in cinematic mode is same as sports mode. See how smooth the footage looks in this video even when turning at close to 50kmph.
