That being said, in the review its states;
"Additionally, the gimbal supports two modes: follow mode, which keeps the horizon line level, and FPV mode, which takes the perspective of the drone itself, while still keeping everything incredibly stable. "

Now that the mini is shipping and plenty of reviews are popping up..  Can anyone who has the drone comfirm that the DJI Fly controller app DOES have the FPV mode, as mentioned in the beta?

Yeah it does. Mine doesn't seem to lock solid though; gimbal still seeks a bit.

I’m more interested in getting the Mavic Mini to work with the Goggles than anything else

Note that the FPV mode only applies to gimble control.

FPV seems to jerk a bit when you are taking a corner. Seems like it just loosens the gimbal motor to allow the motion but also means it just flops around at times.
